EXERCISE: Public Safety Support Provided by DFPC Drones in Mesa County

EXERCISE: People in the area of #LincolnParkProtest in Mesa County my see drones operating over the protest area and near by farms impacted by protesters under the direction of the sheriff's office to provide crowd and situation updates for public safety.

EXERCISE
At 9:30 a.m. the governor verbally declared a state emergency for both the #NEColoradoStorm and #LincolnParkProtest.
The declaration for #NEColoradoStorm provides Disaster Emergency Funds to mobilize the DFPC high wheel vehicles and the CONG assets for search and rescue efforts.
The declaration for Mesa County's #LincolnParkProtest provides Disaster Emergency Funds for CONG assets to support local law enforcement, temporary detention centers, support for public information, investigation and law enforcement.

The Colorado State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) activated on January 15, 2020 at 6 a.m. to monitor and support local jurisdictions due to the impacts of a severe winter storm.  The SEOC is supporting Mesa County with resource needs related to a BLM event tomorrow.
